History
Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Kimia ITS was created in 1985. The main reason is simple, “To build a vessel that accommodates the entire activities in Keluarga Mahasiswa Teknik Kimia ITS”. HIMATEKK ITS was built by members of Chemical Engineering at that time. By that time also HIMATEKK ITS had his first Head of HIMATEKK (HoH) named, Mr. Mujiaman of K26
HIMATEKK Reborn
Many years later, HIMATEKK ITS has developed in answering the needs of its member. On the 18th of October 2008, HIMATEKK ITS experienced a great transformation, it’s well known as HIMATEKK Reborn. This transformation was created as an improvement of HIMATEKK ITS in answering the new era. HIMATEKK Reborn means a new format of old HIMATEKK ITS to become the new one like the tagline “reborn”.
HIMATEKK Reborn successfully happened through the sacrifice of Mr. Syahkundiar that willing to run his management just in six months to make HIMATEKK ITS changing cabinet match with academic system and birocracy. There are two main goals in HIMATEKK Reborn, “to be a recognizable and competitive organization”. To make those goals come true, there are four points.
