Social Development Department of HIMATEKK ITS held Socio-eco Community Education. This year, we had the opportunity to work with 6 communities, consisting of a social community and an environmental community. As for the social community, namely Pegiat Nasibungkus Surabaya, Pelajar Mengajar Surabaya, and Kampoeng Dolanan. As for the environmental community itself, namely Tunas Hijau Indonesia, Surabaya Osoji Club, and PLH SIKLUS ITS.

Socio-eco Community Education (SCE) consists of a series of webinars entitled Talkshow Community Introduction which is a sharing event with speakers from the six communities to share information about their respective communities and motivate participants to always contribute to society. This activity was then followed by 6 Real Actions assisted by each community. Real Action is carried out with a focus on the community sector, such as distributing free rice packs to people in need (Pegiat Nasibungkus Surabaya), providing socialization on traditional toys to children (Kampoeng Dolanan), teaching beachside children (Pelajar Mengajar Surabaya), cleaning the beach (Tunas Hijau Indonesia), garbage picking activity (Surabaya Osoji Club), and closed by the activity of distributing vegetable seeds to the community (PLH SIKLUS ITS). Almost all of the 2022 class students participated in the SCE activity and all of them were divided into several groups for Real Action activities.
